What To Expect at the First Appointment

Your first consultation will take at least one hour. During this time, you will have a discussion with the healthcare professional about your health followed by relevant clinical examination and blood tests.

You are welcome to bring a relative, close friend or carer with you.

Please wear loose-fitting clothing to your appointment and bring with you a list of your current medication and past clinic letters relating to your current condition if attending another hospital or clinic.

If you use a walking aid, please bring this with you.

At the end of your first clinic visit, you will be offered a follow-up appointment to discuss your initial results and to continue monitoring your condition. These visits are equally important and they usually take between 20 and 40 minutes.

Please remember to let us know of any changes to your health or medication.
