HTLV Patient Forum

The first HTLV Patient Forum was launched in November 2008 by the HTLV team and supported by St Mary's Hospital.

The aim of the first Forum was to invite patients and their carers to give their views on how the Clinic is run and to participate in a discussion about the future development of the service. The results of the annual patient satisfaction survey were presented to the Forum. The Forum members also had an opportunity to discuss the creation of an HTLV support network.

 

The Forum ran in a great atmosphere of partnership between the patients and the Clinic management team and was an enjoyable experience for both patients and staff. The Forum is an on-going process and is open to all HTLV patients, their relatives and carers. Contents of the future meetings will include topics that concern patients most, for example, education, self-management techniques, HTLV research.

 

The HTLV Patient Forum meets 3 times a year at St Mary’s Hospital.
